At the end of every storm, there is a rainbow.
Mr and Mrs. Davis, married on the beautiful southern grounds of Maison Lafitte, a historical home that dates back to the 1800’s. They married in front of the home on the day after Hurricane Nate rolled through. We were fortunate that the hurricane was a fast mover that did very little damage, and just brought a little bit of annoying rain. We were thrilled that we had clear sunny skies the next day, that allowed us to do what we LOVE most, and play with those sun rays!
Paige chose to do a “First Look” with her father, that even brought me to tears. It was a special moment before the rush of the day, in which her father could tell her, just how beautiful of a women she had turned into!!!
The ceremony was performed in front of their closest friends and family, it felt so intimate and sweet! After the “I Do’s” we were able to take some sunny, sweet formals of the two of them, but we also snuck them away for a few “Golden Hour” images. It is great when couples allow the time for the daylight Bride and Groom formals. We always STRESS to couples that these are the images you will blow up, frame and put all over your house. Although, a traditionalist as I am, I like the traditional church shots, BUT I am a LOVER of LIGHT and get all the feelings when we have the creamy, warm formals that have so much dimension!
